Char Siu Pork Fillet

Char Siu Pork Fillet

Deliciously tasty Chinese style BBQ pork, using our Char Siu sauce and honey.

Ingredients

  • Pork fillet

  • Slap It On - Char Siu Sauce

  • Liquid Honey

Prep

  1. Trim all large white fat from the meat.

  2. Using a fork, stab the meat all over to help the flavours penetrate the meat.

  3. Place pork fillets inside zip lock bag and use enough Slap it On Char Siu to evenly cover the meat.

  4. Remove as much air as possible from the bag and leave in the fridge to marinate.

Method

  1. Set up your BBQ for indirect, or use your oven and set temp to 250F/120c.

  2. Remove pork from bag and place in oven or indirect side of BBQ.

  3. Cook till internal temp of 140F/60c then rest covered loosely with foil for 10 minutes.

  4. Get your fry pan out and heat up, or use the grill on your BBQ.

  5. While the pork fillet is on the grill or fry pan, give the meat a little squirt of Char Siu and

  6. brush on while cooking. This will give it that nice charred flavour. Turn the meat every minute or so.

  7. Once you have some nice charred colour on the pork, remove from the grill or fry pan.

  8. Put the honey in a microwave for 20 seconds and brush on to serve.

  9. Serve with rice or Asian greens.
