Char Siu Pork Fillet
Deliciously tasty Chinese style BBQ pork, using our Char Siu sauce and honey.
Ingredients
-
Pork fillet
-
Slap It On - Char Siu Sauce
-
Liquid Honey
Prep
-
Trim all large white fat from the meat.
-
Using a fork, stab the meat all over to help the flavours penetrate the meat.
-
Place pork fillets inside zip lock bag and use enough Slap it On Char Siu to evenly cover the meat.
-
Remove as much air as possible from the bag and leave in the fridge to marinate.
Method
-
Set up your BBQ for indirect, or use your oven and set temp to 250F/120c.
-
Remove pork from bag and place in oven or indirect side of BBQ.
-
Cook till internal temp of 140F/60c then rest covered loosely with foil for 10 minutes.
-
Get your fry pan out and heat up, or use the grill on your BBQ.
-
While the pork fillet is on the grill or fry pan, give the meat a little squirt of Char Siu and
-
brush on while cooking. This will give it that nice charred flavour. Turn the meat every minute or so.
-
Once you have some nice charred colour on the pork, remove from the grill or fry pan.
-
Put the honey in a microwave for 20 seconds and brush on to serve.
-
Serve with rice or Asian greens.
